Had work in the afternoon from 4 p.m. until closing with Mike. Work was a bit more complex than the usual. After work, headed out to Steph's place because Mike was going to shave his beard after growing it for a full year. My bet was that if he shaved his beard, I was going to shave my mustache, which I have never shaved at all. To be honest, felt really weird and nervous. Steph's dad was there to catch it all on film. After eating and chilling, headed home.

Pretty fun and tiring day. Got dropped off downtown by Rhandy and met up with Steven, Sean, and Aidan. Since we were all hungry, decided to grab a bite to eat at a local Japanese restaurant. Ordered the Chicken Udon and it pretty decent. After eating, we went to shoot around downtown for a bit and ended up at Lomo. Stayed for a bit and headed back to Sean's car. The original plan was to actually walk to Golden Gate Bridge but we decided to drive and shoot around Marin Headlines. Although it was windy, got some decent photos. After shooting around Marin Headlines, went down to Fort Point since I never been there before. Pretty cool place I must say. They had a few activity buildings around the area, which was cool; I plan on stopping by when I can.

After shooting around, headed back downtown, and got dropped off downtown. Stopped by Urban Outfitters to meet up with Mindy. I wasn't planning on getting anything, but Mindy found this photo album that says A Photo a Day. Since I completed one last year, I'm going to print all my 366 photos and fill it up. Not only that, the photo album was on sale for a price I couldn't pass up. Afterwards, got picked up by Rhandy and Girlie. Decided to stop by Bay Street in Emeryville since Rhandy and Girlie needed to return something at Lush. After Bay Street, headed to 99 Ranch for some drinks and went home. As for my 366 entry for today, it was my memory card, but taken with Sean's 7D and his Rokinon Fisheye 8mm. It's a manual focus lens and for the price you can't really complain, it's a bang for its buck. We tried my 17-35mm but wasn't wide enough and honestly, I some what miss having a fisheye lens. Even though I have a wide angle lens, at times 17mm isn't wide enough and I find myself looking at Nikon's 14-24mm lens or even the Sigma Fisheye 15mm or Nikon's 16mm Fisheye. It's one of those lens that's purposely more fun than being anything serious. For those who are a sucker for that super wide distorted look, know what I'm talking about. Who knows, might end up getting both a more wider focal length and fisheye.

For the most part chilled and went shopping around Target with Mindy. Didn't do much expect I found myself playing N64 again. It never gets old.

After a long weekend, I didn't have work for the next few days, so I decided to sleep in. Stayed home chill and relax. Not much but reviewed my photos this past weekend.

Had work at 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. I was very tired since I slept pretty late last night. After work, stopped by Eric's house to chill and wait for Jonathan and Mike. Headed out to China Beach and by our luck not many people were there. While waiting for the fireworks and the sun to go down while it got dark, Ryan met up with us. The fireworks didn't start on time but after photographing a hand full of images, narrowed it down to a decent amount. After shooting, Jonathan and Mike dropped us off back to my car and headed to Teaway since Ryan felt like treating us. Dropped Ryan off at his dads work place and Eric's right after. Had a very long and eventful weekend but well worth the memories for more to come.

147 of 366 || I Love This City Festival Day 02 - Mountain View, Ca

The day started off by getting some pho with Ryan and Mindy. Dropped off Ryan back at his place and headed out to the event. A good turn out, but as stated before in the previous entry, it had it's pros and cons. As a press photographer covering this event, I expected highly of this event, but I was wrong. For one, I expected a photo pit and none was given at all. There were set up photo pits, but none of us photographers can shoot in it even though it was enough space. If they would have let us use the photo pit, I honestly believe it could of been a lot better. I was upset overall about that situation leading me to have more crowd photos than artist photos. One of the cool things about being a press photographer was the security was pretty chill about me roaming the place with no problems.

Overall had a good time shooting and getting as much photos as possible. It's crazy how I listen to these music artist and the next thing you know, I'm photographing them. It's such a thrill and great experience. Saw new and familiar faces which was also great, you guys and gals know who you are. I honestly believe I need an all access pass rather than a press pass. Not only will I be able to take the best photographs possible, but also no one can give me a hard time. I did a fairly decent job and could of been better. I did the best I can under the time I was given running back and forth from stage to stage. Regardless of the pros and cons, I had a good time. On my behalf I want to thank Jerry R. of FKN FMS who I represented out there while shooting. Not only giving me the opportunity to shoot a pretty dope event, but without being apart of his team, I would of never covered this event. Thanks Ryan for letting me stay at your place and understanding the drive and commute. Shout out to Eric again for letting me use your 80-200mm for majority of the shots, really appreciate that.

Took over 1300+ images, but narrowed it down to 40+ Enjoy this small preview!
