Bash with a treat

My bestfriend, Mitch, his birthday was on Tuesday, October 27th. Yesterday was his birthday dinner. Ate at Koi Sushi Boat in Union City. Place wasn't bad compared to other sushi places I have eaten. I ordered Chicken Teriyaki, as well as Mindy. Slim had brought his Lumix Panasonic DMC-GH1 camera. Pretty dope considering this one shot in HD. What caught my eye was Mitch & KJ were telling me he had bought this old Canon film lens. I ended up checking the lens out, found out it was a Canon 55mm f/1.2, amazing. If this was a modren day lens, that lens alone is an L lens.

After wards, we decided to hit up Club NV since it was Mitch's day to do whatever he wanted. Since we were in Union City & the Bay Bridge was closed, we took Highway 101. This was probably the more packed I have ever saw at Club NV. After wards, headed back, but we had to take Golden Gate Bridge. This was the first time I actually drove on the Golden Gate bridge, since I always take the Bay Bridge. I shall be coming back on this bridge some time to take a few photos. Took about two hours to get back to Mitch's. Since everyone was tired, we all just knocked out at Mitch's.

The next day, was more of a relaxing day, so Mindy & I didn't wanna go back home, so we just chilled at Mitch's house. After wards, I decided to play Monopoly. Played about one of two games. Decided to play like ultra, super, crazy Monopoly. Combined four Monopoly boards together and it actually went well, except, we play differently. We don't trade unless all properties are bought. Since there's four boards going on, it took 4 hours just to get all. We were all hungry, frustrated, and annoyed that it took that long to get all the properties, that we decided to eat Mcdonalds. Only reason why was because there doing the Monopoly during this time.

Took about 2 hours just to finish the game. We some what all agreed decided not to do that again, unless were really bored and have nothing better else to do. Right now it's 3:31 a.m and today is Halloween. Happy Halloween for those celebrate Halloween, most of the time it's majority of a lot of people. Last year, I gave out candy for those who went trick or treating. This year I'm doing that again. Mitch & KJ said they would just chill with Mindy & I for Halloween, but they got some stuff planned so I'm not to sure of that. Any who, as always, peep my Flickr & follow!

Venting

I got a couple questions asking, what was I doing for Halloween? Halloween is almost here. I usually end up getting free candy, but this year, looks like i'm going to give out candy. Shout out to my best friend Mitch, he turned the big 2-0 today. I also took some pictures since it's fall and more and more leafs kept falling. My dog Mimi actually wanted to come outside and run around. Although taking a picture of her, I saw that she was getting old and fat. Normally smaller dogs live longer then bigger dogs, but since Mimi is overweight her life is cut off. I need to start walking her more and more.

I was on twitter and I notice two of my friends talking about some random stuff, so I decided to click on the link. I came across this persons Tumblr, At first I looked at her Tumblr and knowing me, I don't have a Tumblr. I scrolled down and notice one of my pictures were being used, except the fact my tag was cropped out, basically not shown. I'm not mad or anything, but give credit were credit is due. I showed it to one of my friends and he said;

"Tumblr is gay as shit. People take everyone's photos and never give credit."

I replied back saying;

"Probably one reason why you have Tumblr is because your lazy to blog."

This just gives me another reason not to join Tumblr. I find it a new hype for 2009, like Twitter. As your self, why did you join Tumblr or Twitter? Don't get me wrong, Tumblr is alright for that one picture post thing I suppose, but your just another person catching along it. As for Twitter, I only joined twitter to promote my blog. If you check most of my tweets, it's based on working on pictures or check my blog. I knew twitter was a great way to get my blog out more seeing that Twitter is everywhere. I am seeing the same thing that happen last year with Blogger. A wide variety of people joined Blogger in 2008, now I barley see updates from an average blog entry or maybe because there just lazy to blog.

I know now how Karl O. feels when he took that picture of that couple holding hands, and the girl knew she was the person in the photo, but never gave credit to Karl O., nor did she put at least a link or a source saying were she got the photo. Shout out to Karl O. Any who, as always, Peep my Flickr & follow!

Oh you know it.

Been reading a couple books and magazines about photography. A few new things I've learned, but still trying to keep this mainly in use of how things are kept since I like to keep things how they were in the first place rather a change of direction were I don't like it and other don't as well. I also finally took some pictures of Mindy's I's. I honestly don't know when was the last time I took pictures of sneakers. It's been a while, but it's a great feeling, going to try and take more pictures, I miss it.

"Back when I was nothin
You made a brother feel like he was somethin"

It's Monday, 2:53 a.m and it's almost here. The month of Mindy & I. I can't believe it's almost here. I mean dam, it's past 3 years, going on to 4 years in a week or so. Shit, I'm Excited.

Mad world.

Recently, Ron had installed Lightroom 2 and I must say it's very different from Photoshop. I usually use Photoshop most of the time, but I wanted to see how Lightroom is. Let's just say it's some what difficult for me since I new to it. Chilled at Ron's house for the most part, and then ended up night shooting to this spot we have been talking for quite awhile now. Now that I know the way, I shall stop by that spot during the day time. As always, peep my Flickr and follow!

Going through this Photobucket folder, I found some pictures of World Of Dance, 2008. Glad I never delete most of my stuff, but lately since I tag everything now, I got to start remembering to not do that as much. It's a common thing I do to save pictures if they mean something to me or just the thought of one day i'll look back at the photo and go I remember that, or I remember this. Ahh good times, good times.

Kaba Modern.

And last but not least, Bay Area's Supreme Soul. I can say I know them personally, rather from I know of them. Shout out to my best friend Mitch, his birthday is coming up.

I only have my 2001 True Blue III's & Invader Zim Grr Slippers. The rest were sold/traded. Dam, miss taking rotation WDYWT shoe pictures.

Nikon 60mm f/2.8 AF-D Micro

Love the lens, but shooting for a higher focal length. Planning on getting 105mm F/2.8 Micro AF-S or maybe a zoom type lens like 24-70mm f/2.8 or 70-200mm f/2.8.

If you are interested in the lens, asking for more details etc, please feel free to contact me. All my information can be found on the very bottom of my blog.

Thanks, Rolo.

Rainy days

Another rainy day while yesterday was sunny and nice. Glad that it's only going to rain just one time this week. I went to my backyard for some backyard adventures to see what I can capture. I also took some shots in my front yard to also see what I can capture as well. Got some stuff I like and some stuff I ended disliking, but what can I say or do. Mindy & I are starting plan and come up with unique ideas for Halloween since last year we ended up doing nothing. What will you be for Halloween 2009? As always, peep my Flickr, and follow!

Going back and looking through this current Photobucket folder, I came across Albert's D80 grip with 18-55mm f/3.5 -5.6 & Derek's XTI grip with 24-105mm f/4. Ahh good times. I notice a change in my tag & picture size.

Dig into the past

Yesterday, I went to my backyard to see what I can capture. Of course, my backyard is an adventure full of things waiting. There was a particular moment were I saw about five or six birds, but 18-105mm wasn't cutting it. In my mind, I was hopping I had my 180mm f/2.8 still or I wish a 70-200mm f/2.8. Yeah that would really be nice, real nice. It's like one of those times were you wish you had this or that lens to take that capture in your mind you see were no one else see's what you see. I see that kind of shit all the time.

That night, ended up playing Milton Bradley's Life. It was the electronic version since my older brother had given it to me. We played it for the first time with Mitch & KJ. they were saying it sucks and they disliked it. After a while, they gave it a chance and played another round of years. After wards played Monopoly and then another round of monopoly. Left Mitch's house are 3 something a.m ish. Ended up watching Recess at 4 a.m. and knocking out. As always, peep my flickr and follow!

Fall

It's that time of the year again. The year were people wear warm clothing and weather starts to drop into cold temperatures. Since of yesterday, there was a storm and after every storm there usually is great weather the next day. I went into my backyard and took a few snaps. As always peep my flickr account and follow!

Rain

The weather lately has been raining. what's worse is that the rain has the wind to back it up. I decided to go around my house and take some pictures while the rain wasn't hard and the gusts of winds a aren't windy. I also took a new approach into adding a boarder for my pictures. I shall see how that turns out for the future of my blog since I haven't done it before. It's always nice trying something new

Taking off from the last blog entry, I got a comment from take2ofthese.blogspot.com saying,

yo whats goin on man. Big fan of the blog and your photography as well. Actually decided to do a quick write-up on my blog (link below), just thought you should know. Keep doing what you do man.
